I Can't Ping!

Problem

You've followed Getting Started with ZeroTier, but you can't ping a device on your network

Solution

The most common cause is: Windows Firewall blocks ping.

  1. Do a Internet search for "Windows 10 allow ping."
  2. Make sure your devices are joined to and authorized on the same network.
  3. Make sure you're using the ZeroTier Managed IP addresses.


Some other Operating Systems / Distributions block ping by default too.
